Hwang Won Hae
WonHae Hwang is influenced by the urban landscape and creates surreal landscapes by reassembling the remnant debris from the dark side of the urban development. Her artworks crosses the gap between traditional and contemporary, and the past and present.
Her works present a combination of architectural elements from traditional Korean-style establishments such as the palace, temple, and traditional house called 'hanok', and distinctive contemporary architectural aspects from skyscrapers.
