The energy found in Tony’s work is derived from a creative visual balance, action, and movement that arises from transmuting the “unyielding and soulless” into objects of an inherent attraction and in some instances, the awareness of a living entity. Prove’s current sculptural works follow this same natural philosophy but focused on simplistic architectural forms, as those that envelop us all in our commonplace existence. In many cases, such surroundings deliver a vision of sterile, motionless, and homogenous objects. Inversely, when transformed through Tony’s visual impression, these often taken-for-granted materials morph into conscious visual illustrations that transmit a reflective transcendent depth of prodigious luminosity and pseudopod-like qualities.

This has proven to be part of his own personal growth and evolution which has made him sensitive to the occurrence of life itself and something that needs to be shared. Tony Prove is an Australian artist with strong links to Malaysia, as he has been living in Kuala Lumpur since 1995 due to his involvement in several high-profile rail transportation projects.
