His 'Amalgamation series' is made up of colourful and patterned paintings that highlight the process and result of combining formal elements and paintings themselves. The relationships created between colours and patterns come together to construct a more complex image.
Throughout this series, the use of colour varies from soft, warm pastels to heavy and dark tones of blue. Stripes, moire patterns and various line widths are used as containers of these colours. The importance of this combination creates the work. As the elements work together to create an image, the paintings work together on a large scale. Grouping these works embraces an evolution of the original idea. Amalgamation is the product of this unification.
